Photographers Semple, Dermer capture Associated Press awards
The Tribune Chronicle and The Vindicator photographers won three awards in this year’s statewide Associated Press Media Editors competition, including a first-place win for best feature photo.
The APME announced the awards Tuesday.
Winning photos are reprinted on this page. Chief photographer R. Michael Semple won first place for best feature photo for a photo he took of Donald Trump Jr. at a local rally last fall entitled “Look Up and Smile.”
Semple also won second place for best news photo for a crash photo titled “Forgot to Stop.”
Photographer David Dermer took third place in the state for best sports photographer for a photo entitled “Celebration.”
