FAMILY FIRST YOGA: Family First Adult Day Services, 4199 Kirk Road, Austintown, offers free chair yoga classes weekly at 11 a.m. Wednesdays for the community.

Family First also offers free care for an adult loved one so that their caregiver can participate in the class.

GET OUT AND DINE: Direction Home of Eastern Ohio is launching a program in Mahoning and Columbiana counties to assist seniors in achieving healthy eating through a person-centered, choice approach to dining. The agency is seeking area restaurants to create a new congregate dining experience in Mahoning and Columbiana Counties.

The Get Out and Dine Program, which will be funded by the Older American’s Act beginning Jan. 1, gives seniors 60 and older seven vouchers monthly to redeem for an approved meal at one of the participating restaurants.

Residents of Mahoning and Columbiana County or restaurants that wish to participate in the program can contact Direction Home of Eastern Ohio at 330-505-2300 for more information on the application process.

Those residing in nursing homes and assisted living or receiving a meal through another Direction Home of Eastern Ohio Program will not be eligible for this program.

SENIOR WATCH PROGRAM: Liberty residents 60 and older may sign up for the Liberty Township Senior Watch Program.

OHIO LIVING HOME HEALTH AND HOSPICE SENIOR CENTER, 1110 Fifth Ave., Youngstown, has daily programs and classes. Call the center at 330-744-5071.

• Zumba classes, 1 p.m. every Thursday. Cost to members is $2; nonmembers, $3. Learn movements inspired by various styles of Latin American dance accompanied by Latin and American dance music.

EASTERSEALS MEALS: Easterseals offers home delivered meals to homebound clients 60 and older in Mahoning and Columbiana counties. Ask about different meal options. Cost is $2 per meal. Call 330-884-2513.

Easterseals offers nonmedical transportation to independent seniors 60 and older in Mahoning and Trumbull counties. A charge $2.50 per trip helps support the program, donations are voluntary. Call 330-884-2511 to schedule.

McDONALD COMMUNITY ROOM: 500 Ohio Ave. Open 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Fridays.
