On Thursday my wife Beth and I were invited to attend the Athena Awards dinner at Mr. Anthony’s in Boardman.

If you do have the ability to give it a go from the tee, I think this is one of those situations where I say go for it.

While this is one of my favorite holes on the course, I do want to point out that it, in my opinion, kind of sticks out from every other hole at The Creek in one major way. How so? Well, I can’t think of very many Donald Ross holes anywhere, let alone just at The Creek, where he actually forces most players to take driver out of play off the tee.
Rounding out our first nine of 2011 is the "new" par five at Tippecanoe.
Hands down one of the best par three's in the area...
A par four that tests shot shaping and distance control more than length off the tee.
