Today, we woke again bright and early to continue work on Lisa's house. With the help of Britney and Kelly, we finished painting the walls and installing cabinets - we're ahead of schedule! For lunch, we christened the family's house with their first indoor meal.
Carleen Kalasky writes: "Painting ceilings and closets may not seem like a big responsibility, but to the family it's a relief. I say relief because the family is one step closer to moving back into their home."
"It's amazing how grateful the entire community is for our helping one family," Madeline Kopper said.
Following the housework, we toured the West Pearl River swamps. We spotted MANY alligators, and fed them marshmallows right in front of the boat. Brutus and Big Al were especially exciting.
We were treated to dinner by Mahoning county's own Higgins-Reardon funeral home. We enjoyed classic New Orleans cooking at Mother's Restaurant.
Until tomorrow, have a wonderful day and God Bless!
