« Struthers helps New Orleans

Welcome to Nashville!

Published July 12, 2009

After ten long hours of driving, the group finally arrived in Nashville, Ten.  Traveling in our matching yellow work shirts, we were met with enthusiasm from fellow travelers.  "The folks here are very nice and keep asking us where we're headed," Robby Payne said.

We'll be rising bright and early tomorrow - 6 am - to continue our journey to New Orleans.  Expected arrival time is around 5 pm.   After we check in, we will be taking a neighborhood tour of homes destroyed by Katrina.  Following, we will be guests of the Taylor's,  a previous family helped by Habitat for Humanity.

It's off to bed, we'll see you here tomorrow!
