Turning the other cheek

The Rev. Jay Alford's response to this writer's criticism of the clergy's involvement in the Youngstown mayoral race (see columns of Nov. 6 and 13) gives new meaning to "turning the other cheek."

Rev. Alford could have taken exception to what was written, but he chose humor. For that he deserves a heartfelt "God bless you, reverend."
