Andres Taylor (6-0-1, 3 KOs) of Johnstown, Pa., just landed a brutal uppercut on Jim Emrick (7-3-1, Butler, Pa.) and ended his heavyweight bout in the third round.
Taylor trains in Warren on weekends under P.C. Torres. He's a pretty good fighter. Emrick was tough but he was outgunned.
Two more bouts. The place is about half-full now, which is pretty good for 8:44 p.m.
No celebrities so far but I have seen former champ Harry Arroyo and Youngstown boxer Billy Lyell.
