Brad Koch just wrapped up a high school golf career at Boardman High, going as far as districts.
So with the competitive spirit still in him, he couldn't pass up a shot at the title "Greatest Golfer of the Valley."
Plus -- it was a cool name.
"The name stuck with me. Where else are you going to compete for something here and be able to call yourself that -- the Greatest in the Valley?"
And at 19, Brad is one of three teen-agers ready to slug it out with veteran Valley golfers like Andy Smyczynski (Salem Hills), Tom Kellogg (Tamer Win) and Eddie Pompili (Doughton).
About being the youngster, Koch joked: "I guess I'm looking to kick some older guys' butts."
Koch is joined by these new signups:
Don Sicafuse, Struthers
Chad Akins, Mill Creek
David Cooper, Yankee Run
Paul Rovnak, Links at Firestone
Wear a diaper, I hate to see you pee in your pant's youngster. Especially when you have a 3 foot putt to make the cut!
