With that, the focus is really turning toward the junior and adult "Greatest Golfer of the Valley" tournaments. The adults are Aug. 26, 27 and 28. We're about 75 percent full with just 2 months to go. Get in now to be safe. Click here for more details. But before the adults take aim, the juniors hit the links first in July to compete for the Greatest.
The popularity of the Greatest Golfer of the Valley is hitting stride. We're are in Week 3 of registrations — and we're at 70 golfers, or close to half of our eligible field.
The 2011 Greatest officially launched May 3 with its two-pronged thrust into the soul of Valley golf — the 18 Greatest Golf Holes of the Valley and the Greatest Golfer of the Valley tournament in August.
Here are the complete results of the 2010 Greatest Golfer of the Valley tournament. The 54-hole tourney opened last week at Mill Creek Golf Course and Trumbull Country Club. The finals were played Saturday at The Lake Club.
