YOUNGSTOWN — With 46,456 votes counted in Mahoning County, the Western Reserve Transit Authority’s 0.25-percent sales tax proposal is up 51.4 percent to 48.6 percent.
The Youngstown school’s 9.5-mill additional levy is winning by 3 votes: 9,672 to 9,669.
Common Pleas Court Judge Tim Franken of Beaver Township appears to be going down. Lou D’Apolito of Boardman has 44.2 percent of the vote. Judge Franken has 37.2 percent.
All other incumbents continue to hold comfortable leads over their challengers.
U.S. Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, D-N.Y., has 57.9 percent of the Democratic presidential vote in Mahoning County. U.S. Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., has 39.9 percent of the vote.
