The Youngstown Area Grocers Association (YAGA) will throw its annual wine and beer tasting this Thursday, March 7th from 6-9PM. The event is held at the beautfiul and historic Stambaugh Auditorium on 5th Avenue in Youngstown.
The $50 ticket price is amazing when you consider that the YAGA will be pouring 100 wines and 50 micro beers for those in attendance. Most of Ohio's top wine and beer distributors will be there to discuss and promote their products.
Perhaps best of all, the event directly benefits two improtant local charities:
Ursuline Sisters of Youngstown HIV / AIDS Ministry
The Prince of Peace Center in Farrell, PA
I had the pleasure of working this event twice when I was on the distribution side of the wine business. It is top notch every year and offers one the most extensive and diverse lineups of wine and beer you will see anywhere. The distributors use this event to showcase new products that are just now making their way into local stores.
Tickets are still available for the event by calling Beverly at 724-981-5880. Don't miss the chance to taste a lot of great drinks in one of Youngstown's most unique and prestigious settings.
