You can sense the electricity and anticipation in the air as soon as you walk into Vintage Estates. Something big is clearly coming and that something is "The Big Tap In", one of the best beer events held in the United States. In three years the event has more than doubled in size with people coming from all corners of the country to enjoy some great beer. This year more than 2700 people will come to sample some of the world's best beer.
I will be covering the event for The Vindicator next week, but there is an entire week of beer events as part of Vintage Estate's "Beer Week" celebration leading up to the event. Here are some highlights:
Friday April 13th (right now) - Willoughby Brewing Company featuring their 14th Anniversary Ale and a cask conditioned Hop Jam Black IPA. Rick Seibt, Director of Brewing Operations for Willoughby is in attendance this evening.
Tuesday April 17th - Local favorite Rust Belt Brewing will be featured all evening. Come on out and "get rusted" with the brewery staff including Brewmaster Ken.
Wednesday April 18th - Goose Island Brewery from Chicago is the featured brewery. I have personally visited Goose Island's brewery in Chicago and love their lineup of beers. Don't miss this great chance to meet some of their brewery staff and learn more about this great brewery!
There is a different brewery featured every night of the week at Vintage Estates leading up to The Big Tap In. The event is completely sold out, but two tickets to will be given away each night starting on Monday. This may be your last chance to get into this awesome event, so stop on out to Vintage Estates and enjoy being part of Beer Week!
