Austintown school cuts concern parents

As the parents of a special needs child with autism, we reside in the state of washington, we are seeing the affects that the budget cuts will have as well. They may eliminate our bus service due to the fact we are within a mile of the school. We do have so many that have lost jobs, their cars have been reposessed and they are teetering on losing their homes. It will be hard for them to get their child to school. I think more thought needs to be put into exactly what is being cut. Out in Washington we are looking at ways to trim the shrinking budget, we are coming up with creative ways to still be able to do the things, just in a different way, yes some things will be done differently, but you don't have to eliminate them, I would be willing to take a turn and ride the bus and help out with the kids, that may be an alternative that you folks may want to think about. This goes for some of the aids that may be eliminated, It also gives you time to see how your school is doing and your child and get a great opportunity to contribute to your school and community. Best to you all in Ohio. The Ziolkowski family Woodland Washington
