Video fueling reaction to rape case against Steubenville football players

Just like Stubenville it's about a sick culture. Adults allow it to go on. Innocent children suffer.Just like the Bhs teacher/coach put on leave for inappropriate conduct with students and volleyball players last March. The administration wore the victims down through several days of questioning while it took the administration a full week to make a report to Csb. Why? Schools are required to report immediately on cases of suspected abuse.
Boardman Police attempted to continue the political sweep and keep the district's secrets by not conducting a proper investigation. How can touching young girls in school not be a felony? It was made out to be "just comments" that were made. Yes ,the teacher was removed
from school and the Mahoning County
prosecutors handled the case after several months elapsed and due to police reports from brave individuals. Not all girls reported since they thought telling the school after 4 interviews was enough. None involved police or csb. No charges being filed against a man who violated girls held under his power in
order to play sports. Girls that tried to report to the assistant female coach that brushed them off and didn't report to authorities either. She also is a teacher at BHS and nothing happened to her. Administration never acted sooner based on teacher reports to administration and to his boss (A.D.) for several years, they claimed it was
discrentled parents complaining about playing time when the bigger picture was abuse through sexual comments, kissing and touching girls. Comments to girls in front of his classes. It was public knowledge, yet adminstration claimed they knew nothing of it.
Why? Were they present in the school? Kids talked about it all the time.
The whole "investigation" was a hoax from the school to the prosectors office. What did we teach the kids? Not to report such doings and keep secrets so they do not get exploited. What they did bravely was to no avail.Meanwhile, this man is going about the community and the students that confessed have to see a sexual predator out and about suffering no consequences for abusing children. No charges, so look out churches who have rec sports and teachers. As far as the man not teaching well that
is great, but if he doesn't lose his license, he is free to teach and coach again in the public schools. Maybe he will just disappear out of state like another Boardman teacher did last year.
Why did it take Bhs administration 3 months to file a complaint to the state authorities? Same reason....they are protecting themselves and tainted the whole investigation to not look poorly with a tax levy going on the ballot this past November. A voted board member also had
knowledge of it all. A lot of egg on many officials faces. It is a real shame that children are not the priority in Boardman Schools, police department and courts in Mahoning County. Keep this in mind when votes need to happen in elections or tax levies.

2 Valley schools confront alleged indecent conduct

Prosecute them both. Anyone hurting children need to be prosecuted. Why is the Boardman employee being paid on leave and they have closed the case? Charges need to be filed and quit wasting taxpayers dollars. Cover up, why? Children were hurt, traumatized

Struthers replaces chief of schools

Not a positive effect. What and why did they not hire the other candidates they community was excited about instead of going behind closed doors and not informing the community of the search. If effects the kids and community and we need to know. The disparity of the board is sad.
