AKAFR1 - I think some do, but it will never be a law that they have to.

Why is it that all the so called safety concerned legislators never enforce safety laws on the manufacturers?

Installing seat belts is the only required safety featured that they must comply with.

Air bags have been proven to save lives, anti-lock brakes have been proven to save lives, yet they are still "optional" equipment.

As far as this law, I don't see what the hype is about. It's been the law in other states for years.

Of course since we still have a billion dollar budget crisis, this will give them an excuse to spend another few million or so buying and installing "Wipers on? Turn your headlights on, IT'S THE LAW" signs everywhere.

Ok, maybe I missed something in these articles.

Can anyone tell me if the employees of Nemenz have been offered or had the opportunity to vote yes or no on becoming union members?

I don't seem to find where it says they voted.

Woody said: "Global Warming is Global BS!!".

Ha! Fantastic.

Wonder how they will spin the "coldest July on record" into the global Chicken-Little-The-Sky-Is-Falling-Al-Gore-Is-Our-Savior routine.

They will ignore it, just like any other facts that are contrary to their agenda.

I don't know if he's guilty or not, but this guy is also a magician that entertains kids parties.

A place I know hired him not too long ago.

Kind of really scary if these allegations do turn out to be true.

Woody, you're a tad off on your research. Try again.

"15-1061 Database Administrators Mean Hourly: $26.71 Mean Annual: $55,560.

That's from the US Burea of Labor Statistics, specifically for the Youngstown-Warren Metro area.

http://www.bls.gov/oes/2008/may/oes_4966...

Mean annual salary of a DB Admin in this area: $55,000, not $85,000.

So sure, it make total sense that nearly double that is reasonable.

Good thing no one paid your for your research.

Please start taxing churches and bingo to make up for the tax loss on the "evil" gambling. Oh, wait, wouldn't bingo be.... GAMBLING???? No, never mind, they do it at church. Perfectly acceptable then. Just like serving "evil" alcohol at the church festivals.

As long as the (tax exempt) church gets the money, evil is sanctioned.

I don't think I've ever agreed with anything Bertram has written, until now. Here, here!

I say we start petitioning the Government to revoke all Church's tax exempt status.

First off, Police officers don't live at the police station. They work a shift and go home.

It's common practice in Cities with full time FD's to not only provide exercise equipment, but to mandate a certain amount of physical training be done every day.

I'm not saying the PD shouldn't have access to exercise equipment, because they should. All I'm saying is I think that the City is right on this one. Assuming they really got a deal and didn't get robbed on the price.
