Amazing! Once again, only in Youngstown!

Poland teacher suspended for showing video to sixth graders

It seems as if far too many parents want to interfere with educators for no other reason that causing trouble. It's a power trip.

What was Sciortino thinking?

gdog, If Sciortino really believes that Morley can get him out of this, he's greatly mistaken. He's now dealing with the state AG. These aren't the typical Mahoning Valley local-yokal dummies. DeWine has direct lines to the Department of Justice.

What was Sciortino thinking?

Sciortino is an obnoxious, smug punk! Maybe he can bring his band with him to jail and play for his fellow inmates?

Youngstown mayor calls his alleged involvement in a criminal enterprise ‘comical’

Once again, this Valley offers nothing but an environment of unethical behavior by those who we select to lead.

I doubt that there is a local government in the U.S. that has had more public officials, investigated, indicted, tried and convicted than the Valley. We should all be ashamed.

With is diatribe on the AG yesterday, Sciortino ensured that he is going to get the full measure of the law and then some.

There are financial penalties if he leaves YSU early

Ytown37: I think you're the clueless one. Obviously your not up to date on what is going on with the budget at YSU and why everyone is bolting out of there.

YSU doesn't have the luxury of waiting years to "right the ship" Tressel needs to exhibit this strong leadership quality that everyone speaks of now, not in a five to 10 year plan.

Absolutely amazing how when faced with the facts, these people will turn things to a different light by trivializing the situation as "big deal...so he bent the rules". These are same type of people who think of Traficant as some kind of hero.

I want to hear the excuses from these people in July of 2015 when after one year he's not done one thing to advance the academic stature of YSU.

Tressel said he'd take less money for YSU presidency

Why are we continually the community that supports those who do the unacceptable? We re-elect politicians who skate DUI's and public intoxication charges, we honor business leaders who are felons. At what point do we say that we want ethical leadership?
