Great job of printing a press release, Vindicator! Do any REPORTERS work there anymore?
InfoCision...more correctly...InfoPrison, pays low wages, requires those getting low wages to show up in "business dress" (i.e. shirt & tie, etc) 4 days a week, (How do you require that, when you don't pay the wages for people to be able to afford those clothes?) messes with people's wages by assigning them to tier levels of calls, so if you happen to see your wages go up, you can count on them going down, as you are switched to the tougher call levels.
InfoPrison has bounced employees between hourly pay and "salary" so they can manipulate hours worked with minimal compensation, making sure the hourly rates are in place, when business is slow, so they can send you home with no pay owed.
If you decide to leave, and are dumb enough to give two weeks notice (something we were all taught is common courtesy to do), you are fired that day, and "perp-walked" out of the building in front of your fellow employees.
These 200 jobs, are to replace the people who have left! The turnover rate in call centers is ridiculous.
How about an article that details how these employers get government benefits for training, and then retaining workers for 6 months on the job, Funny how they begin to disappear en masse once that 6 month bonus is gone.
Wake up Vindacator! Look into a story! It's part of Journalism 101!
Well, I watched the video, and here we go again, as the Tressel Posse attempts to shove the Narduzzi family farther into obscurity. This was a tremendous slight to leave Pat Narduzzi (Defensive Coordinator, Michigan State) out of this discussion.
Pat grew up in the valley (Tressel, Dantonio, and Treadwell did not), was a standout at Ursuline HS, played for his Dad, Bill, at YSU, and has had a very successful college coaching career. Do we give him his due? No! Why?
Let's see, Carmine Cassese, who rattled off all of those names, not only wons the MVR, but is the Equipment Manager for YSU, and Tressel's good buddy. Joe Malmisur was brought to the AD job by then-trustee Mickey Monus, to get rid of Pat's Dad, but that had to wait, since Bill won Coach-of-the-Year honors in the Ohio Valley Conference.
It's about time somebody stands up for Bill's memory, and tells the true legacy of YSU.
Enough with this bum already! Too many column inches have been dedicated to this "ex"-thug. It's time to talk more and more about the shining examples of humanity, like Brad Smith of the NY Jets, and Chaney HS, who should be held as a shining example of correct behavior.
Not only recruiting, but have they ever found a baptist chaplain yet? Wouldn't it be something if Ursuline, or even Mooney, could win one of those state championships with all Catholic players!
NOW you post a somewhat critical editorial of the sweatshops known as "call centers!"....Try doing your job BEFORE the election, and hold these politicians' feet to the fire. Ask them why they didn't even bother to look at the employees on their tour of the site. Ask them if they know about the no-vacation no-sick day policies, and oppressive rules that are designed to impact a worker's pay. THEN you should write something like this.
OK...let's talk about this great place...IT"S A SWEATSHOP!
There are no sick days or sick excuses, miss a day and you get written up. There is no vacation time for workers, so it's show up, work your hours, or get fired.
Bonuses...what a joke...if you miss a whole day for any reason, your bonus is hit, if you flub on a call (and the calls are graded by people in the Phillipines), your bonus is hit, if you help someone out on the phones, but your calls average more than 12.5 minutes, your bonus is hit.
If a sales agent misinforms (lies) to a customer, customer service can't help them, and finally you have to disconnect their services as they are just fed up, your bonus suffers, and the other two get off...real fair, right?
This company is owned by the Chinese, the same Chinese who took the good jobs from this country, and now give us this.
One final thing to ponder...benefits...if you are married, have one or more kids, and want to sign up for the health benefits, it will cost you only a little under $700 a month. If you base that on a $9 an hour job, with federal, state and Youngstown city taxes, you work for free for one pay period a month.
We need more news...how about a weekly piece on Brad's efforts throughout the NFL season? He is the ultimate role model, and we need to get that message out a whole lot more.
While we are at it, how about a piece on how the culture of athletics (especially football) is leading a lot of our young athletes to a sense of false entitlement, making them think they are "bulletproof."
I can't stand soccer! I would rather watch ALL four days of total coverage of whatever PGA event is on, while the bulk of the pros are at the British Open.
Thank goodness all of this hype, for such a low skilled game is almost over.
InfoCision puts out call for 200 more hires
