Austintown racino on hold

Penn National couldn't make any money in Columbus so they left. What makes everyone think it will make it in Austintown? Wait until Union-Labor Picketers demonstrate because the construction crews are not unionized and they put the big rat up in front. The limited jobs will be just above min. wage.

This thing is a loser before they break ground. Look at what gambling has done for the Valley over the last 20 years. Sad!!!

Driver shot by cop in struggle

OK I'll try to keep this short. Number 1 this matter has not been fully investigated yet so ALL the facts are not known at this point. That being said an outside law enforcement agency should be investigating this matter NOT the YPD (Is Chief Jimmy smart enough and professional enough to do this?).

Number 2 Phil Chances father has nothing to do with this matter he made mistakes and did his time. I worked with Phil Chance Sr. and he was a great person and great cop for many years.

Number 3 no matter what reason Officer Chance attempted to confront Cory Timmings, all he (Timmings) had to do was comply with a simple order from a Police Officer: STOP! Timmings actions resulted in this tragedy.

Number 4 those of you who question or second guess Chance's action need to realize what a difficult job a police officer has, until you put on the badge, ballistic vest and gun and push a beat car around Y-Town at 2:30 in the morning and make split second decisions that could cost you or another human being their life, you need to shut up and respect Officer Chance and his father for being dedicated Law Enforcement Officers willing to put their lives on the line for less then adequate pay. I don't know what happened that night because I was not there. However there were a number of "objective & unbiased witnesses" who I am sure did. Until the investigation is complete you need to respect the Chance Family and the Timmings family. Just reading a number of these responses makes me glad I retired and left the area.

Keep up the good work Officers! Your the only thing left in the City of Youngstown that can be counted on 24-7-365...

Consumer Reports: Cruze most significant car of L.A. car show

GM is a deceased company just like the mills in the late 70's and the unsightly overpriced Cruz will only add insult to injury. Youngstown needs to look beyond the auto industry and move on. It's over.

Sad very sad...

Attorneys make misconduct case against Pritchard

Movedout I agree with the great majority of your post however you failed to comment on the Direnzo matter involving Dockry? How is that related to the divorce, lost files and a check being made out to Dockry?
