Exactly what did Freeh use to come to those conclusions? I'll tell you, nothing substantial In the report, it seemed to me he was reaching, coming to a quick conclusion to appease a person or group. Please prove their guilt. I think you'll have a hard time... epecially in front of a judge and jury. Freeh's credibility can certainly be questioned. I choose not to be a sheep and follow the flock. I like to base my opinions on complete information. In this case, there are too many holes that need to be filled before I can definitively say innocent or guilty. I'll wait... The perpetrator of the crime is in jail and going nowhere... He won't hurt anyone anymore. There is time to wait for Curley and Schultz to have their date in court. We'll see what comes to light.
Arod, you are completely wrong as your logic is flawed. Sandusky, a sick individual, would have acted similarly no matter what his situation, and likely would have gone largely unnoticed. It is only the program's success under Paterno, not only on the field but also in the classrom, that has propelled the alleged scandal to the national spotlight.
I read the Freeh report as well. I am well versed on the subject, and while I do have my opinions, I am reserving them for comment after all the facts come to light.
Fortunately opinions are not permissible in a court of law. It's very sad to me to see the ignorance that runs rampant on the internet. Educate yourselves prior to commenting. Again, it's not about football.
It really has nothing to do with football. Actually it is more about crisis management and completing due diligence when fact finding for reporting. It's about correctness of data, and making intelligent decisions based upon that data. And it's about doing the right thing, whatever that may be, even if it opposes initial public opinion in today's PC world. Jury should still be out.
