Politicians who see Fracking as "positive" are simply examples of the same, old, corrupt Ohio politician who is greased by Money from Private Profit Interests. Disgusting. They Betray the public interest and well-being.Don't re-elect them!!!

"The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing."
I admire Ms. Matteo for standing up against evil and for what she believes is right and just.
I have no respect for the spineless position expressed by the first commenter above.

Starting with the demolition of the magnificent Palace Theatre --- for a parking lot, Youngstown has destroyed many of the great downtown buildings that made it unique and gave it a sense of place . . . and a sense of pride. It's as if city planning since 1950 has been organized and controlled by Attila and his barbarian hordes.

The Catholics in Youngstown are so conservative, backward, bigoted and ignorant that they would chase the saintly Pope Francis out of town --- because he is too enlightened and liberal for Youngstown dimwits.

As far as fracking adds up to earthquakes goes, I would like to remind all the geniuses in Youngstown that 2 + 2 = 4.

Again, Youngstown is the center of the enlightened, intellectual and cultural universe. And the Vindicator lights the way for the people of this city. What a joke this "newspaper" is --- or should we just call it what it is --- a "rag!"

If local elected officials view fracking "positively," one must question their motivations --- and most importantly, make sure that they are never elected again.

I am a Youngstowner and I support Obama and the Democratic, liberal perspective.People who do not like the affordable Care Act simply DO NO UNDERSTAND it.Sad to say, but backward, conservative Ohioans are not the brightest bulbs in the chandelier. The Ohio economy is proof of that.
