YSU union chief placed on leave as criminal complaint surfaces on leave pending

Regardless of what it is related to, it's rather sickening. One employee threatening another would be a bad enough situation. In this case, we have an elected union president who is alleged to have threatened one of his own members. What does the union membership feel about this? Have other people had this kind of treatment from their president?
Kudos to this woman for having the courage to stand up against this kind of behavior.

YSU union challenges cut in pay to ACE chief

As an above poster stated, the petition (which starts the process to remove him) has already been started. However, if people will not stand up for what they believe is right, it won't matter. The membership is very upset about this, but if everyone is just going to sit back and expect someone else to step up and save the union, the union might as well just dissolve. Stand up for yourselves people! Think about it...if every person who felt that Ivan should step down would stand up and sign the petition, it would send a strong message to the union leadership. It would also send a message to the administration, letting them know that the members do not approve. Like someone else suggested, go together with a group and sign. A few small groups can quickly become a large group. It's up to you, ACE members. It's sad that people would be afraid of their own elected leadership. Doesn't that right there tell you that something is very wrong here?
