Bravo! Bravo! Bravo! to Animal Charity and the Dog Warden's office for helping those animals in need. It is wonderful to see reputable groups working together. For the sake of the animals, please keep the efforts up and help the animals in need. Now if someone could get rid of the so called "shelter" that exists in Youngstown. The poor cats there are in the hands of morons and many do not live long.
I saw this article in the Sunday Vindicator and could not believe the Cat Ladies Society is still in business. Last thing I remember hearing is that they were shut down. My sister got two cats from them that were very sick. One died two days after getting it. The vet said the cat was so dehydrated and so congested, it did not stand a chance. He said it had to be sick for quite some time to be this bad, and that this was the third cat that month he saw adopted from their shelter that died soon after. We called Kimm and got no return call. We felt so bad for all those other cats there. My sister, my three neices and I went to Petco to buy some pet toys. There was a Halloween celebration of some kind there. A group of people from the Cat Ladies were there dressed up looking horrible. One man had a black hat on with syringes sticking out of it. His hands were all bloodied wearing a black uniform, calling himself a humane officer. One big woman was carrying around a stuffed cat with syringes sticking out of it. My neices were horrified, as any young child would be. Not until later did we realize what this display was. It was a group from the Cat Ladies dressed up poking fun at Animal Charity. To say this was in poor taste is an understatement. Can't believe Petco let this happen. Feel sorry for any animal that ends up with them. Youngstown needs animal shelters, but not like that one. Read about them on PetAbuse.com and Animalhoarding.com.
