I don't know when it started, but for a very long time businesses have been treating Mahoning Ave like Rogers Flea Market. Why is it neccessary for you to advertise your items on the sidewalk, why can't the customers just walk into the establishments. Used lawn equipment, mannequins dressed to the nines, old furniture, bathtubs, toilets and the list goes on and on. Every small business does it. This does nothing for the community's appearance. It looks like trash day everyday of the week. Sidewalks are meant for the public to walk on, not for your own personal billboard.

It is this country's mentality. If it's an inconvenience get rid of it. Sad, but true.

This is one of the down falls by living in the city. That was choice the tennants of International Towers made when they took up residency, Yes your dollars contribute to the city of Youngstown, but this event, Party on the Plaza brings in a huge amount of money for all the businesses in this town. Sorry for your inconvience twice a month, but it would be a big mistake taking this venue out of the city. I would be more worried about International Towers being torn down and turned into a more profitable entity...surprised it hasn't happened or talked about.

I do not know Mr. Repchic, but he sounded like a loving and beautiful soul. His family will miss him dearly. Mrs. Repchic has lost so much and I feel sadden for her. Now that this court ordeal is over for your family, I hope you can find some healing. God Bless.
