Ok - so what does the flight attendant being rude have to do with him deploying an emergency slide. Did he deploy the slide after he was being rude to these people. I'm sure the disagreement over luggage had the passenger being more than rude with expletives. This is less than 1/2 the story.
piwohio - yes the board can act and enter into a contract without informing the "taxpayers". They do it all the time. A board meeting is only for "information" only They have already acted on or decide on a course of action before the meetings. Most of the time they (the board) go on the recommendation of the superintendant. If they had that much and more in the capital improvement fund, why aren't they "improving" Fitch High School, or is that the "NEXT" school that needs to be replaced because of lack of repair and maintenance. Why wasn't this purchase diclosed before we voted in May. They knew that they wanted this land. Once again the board only lets the public know after the fact. How much of this new land will be used to widen the road and how much will it cost the taxpayers of Austintown. And why is the school having to provide this land along with the money to fund this "new project. Mis management of funds. they are like a kid in the candy store given free for all. Spend, spend, spend and worry later about running out of money. The taxpayers will bail them out again. Accountablity is what we need.

YSU’s SGA to continue pressing for student fee
