And they want to raise the speed limit to 70 MPH. All that means is drivers will be going 80. These semi-drivers speed through downtown Columbus going 65 in a 45 construction zone. I am sure they will lobby and get their way though.
@jasoninohio, I assume you have a link to a non-partisan site to verify every one of those claims? I am by no means an Obama fan but there are things that are on your list in no way accurate. For instance the 76% of Americans opposing healthcare reform. Many of those were Dems that wanted MORE of a universal healthcare system than the semi-privitized one that was passed. Also, how are Americans less safe? Bin Laden is dead and I don't recall any terrorist attacks occuring on U.S. soil since Obama took office. Making a blanket list of statements like that is just plain ignorant. And the divisiveness of this country is do to left AND right wing media outlets. Bring back the fairness doctrine where news programs had to give equal amounts of time to both sides of an issue instead of listeneing to an hour straight of a one sided attack.
@ commoncitizen, I wasn't aware that people on Wall Street don't work (bailout). Aren't those the very people that conservatives defend in the Occupy Wall Street movement? How do you feel when people call right wingers fascists (promoting social coservatism when one of the main reasons why conservatives support the party on the issue of abortion)? Using hot words in debate is ridiculous and takes away from actual, intelligent discusion.
@ db, People like you are part of the problem with automatically labeling people with an opposing view as a "socialist" and "lazy". GOP and Dem candidates both recieve exorbarant amounts of campaign financing from unions and now private companies. Don't act like one side of the aisle is any less paid off then the other. The next time you have a discussion try not to use the political buzzwords that are hammered into your head by right wing media. And if you really want to see what a socialist is pick up a history book or read a Euroepean newspaper, because there sure aren't a lot of actual socialists here in the U.S.
Why do conservatives automatically believe that because you oppose drilling that you are automatically a liberal? People can have individual thought (unless of course you are an elected GOPer who gets to sign all kinds of promise letters NOT to think for themselves). Just because you are conservative doesn't mean you have to watch Fox News or listen to right wing radio. Try to find independent sources and decide things for yourselves instead of talking points fed to you.
Didn't they fire their GM too? I don't see how Martz can be blamed for lack of a viable backup QB, terrible decisions by Barber in the Denver loss and no #1 WR.
I hope after this election that maybe some sane people will take over the GOP. They can not be a viable party when it has been hijacked by evangelicals and far right nutters who only seek to disruptgovernment instead of trying to work across the aisle. Heck, if Regan (who the GOP idolizes so much) ran in today's GOP he wouldn't even be able to garner any attention because he would be considered too moderate!
What a waste of time and money. All these groups do is provide a hot button topic during election seasons and then get legislation submitted that only takes up time and effort politicians can be doing something else. Of course if we had real adults representing us we would do away with all this nonsense, instead we have a bunch of career crooks taking money from special interest groups.

Ohio Christian audiences want Denver QB Tim Tebow
How about you take that $50,000 and do something worthwhile like feed the homeless. What a joke.
