Firing a Campbell water worker wasn’t in city’s best interest

5th Ward your are just like you talk a 5th ward in a 4 ward City. I have heard many hungry poor people with sad stories. I know Mr. VanSuch would hire them all including Mr. Jackson, but what he has done in a short time is why we need to keep him, THE RIGHT THING, he could have easily made a deal with Mr. Jackson's dad and not had him as an opponent for Mayor! Mayor Van Such is running to do the right thing Mr. Jackson's Dad is running because like you feels his son was wrong, if the Mayor keeps both Jackson's he has one less opponent, you know and every person with a BRAIN in Campbell knows it!!! I hope you stay the 5th Ward Councilnman and never have anything to do with REAL GOVERNMENT in Campbell!!!

Firing a Campbell water worker wasn’t in city’s best interest

Wasn't Jackson's Father Jack Dill's Administrator wasn't he part of the Administration everyopne's criticizing, If anyone after one year can't pass a civil service test and received $5000.00 worth of tax payer's training shouldn't be retained! He doesn't have OEPA certification and your saying uneducated criminals passed the test! The kid's Dad was the Administrator when he was hired which is illegal its called nepotism! Its about time Campbell has a Mayor with guts not politics, he's the Mayor not Jack Dill who was good enough for Jackson's Dad when he needed a job and hospitalization! If the kid couldn't get a 75% which was a C when I went to Campbell! 5000 dollars worth of training, NEPOTISM, Dad worked for Dill who you say was no good,! All adds up to 0000 reasons to keep him!

Ruling supports Campbell in its firing of worker

First the kid couldn't pass a simple civil service test after working in the Plant in a year How would he ever pass a much harder OEPA certification test, so the City saved thousands on an employee that is probably uncertifiable. Second how about the hiring was illegal because of NEPOTISM although Jackson serving in Krinos's Administration had a Husband and wife team the Sarge's Police Chief & Secretary. Then the Father & Son team! Nice I'm sure all the people like me with very qualified sons, daughters and friends sitiing home with college degrees and 1000's in loans for EDUCATION these people are just born and believe they deserve jobs. Funny Dinise as Councilwoman railed against Campbell NEPOTISM now she's the Queen of it!!!! Third lots of people PASSED the test isn't better judgement of the Mayor to hire someone that PASSED the test other than a Counciman's son! Good for you Mayor its hard to stand up for RIGHT!!!

Judge: Suspension of finance director by Krinos illegal

MAYOR VAN SUCH FILLED IN FIOR KRINOS 3 MONTHS AGO AND ONE THING HE HAS IN COMMON IS THE NEED TO RID THE CITY OF AN INEPT FINANCE DIRECTOR. THIS MAYOR AS THE PREVIOUS MAYOR IS FINDING THE FINANCE DIRECTOR IS HOLDING THE CITY BACK FROM MOVING FORWARD OUT OF FISCAL EMERGENCY. I HOPE MAYOR VAN SUCH FINALLY GETS A COMPETENT DIRECTOR THAT WILL FOCUS ON THE CITY'S PROBLEMS, NOT ITS POLITICS

TEA Party, union members battle over bargaining

I'm old enough to remember how violent labor was before collective bargaining. Just ask some old time politicians that got their windows shot out! Bomb threats and even beaten, when you mess with food on the table you better be ready. The budget has nothing to do with collective bargaining, if there is no money, I've seen many Public employees take freezes. What our politicians have to do is give freezes to BIG BUSINESS, that got billions in tax breaks! Tea Party People where were you then! Give me a break! These politicians are doing the bidding of Big Business and in particular Big Oil, they pay no taxes and have these tea party people fighting to give tax breaks to Arab shieks! America was built by the middle class you are destroyin I'd rather deal with my teachers, police and firefighters, than Big Business. Just think when Shell is selling you water, putting out fires, and patrolling your streets with illegal immigrants, think that's crazy! No more than tea baggers defending tax cuts for BIG OIL!!!!

Poland council OKs storm-water utility fee

I would commend Poland Council for implementing this Storm Water Utility. The comments of the school district illuminate the need for the Federally mandated program, which includes a mandate to have a user charge, the same as any other utility. Storm Water Utility is the same as a Wastewater Utility, except the Federal Government used restraint and is not mandating areas with a greater than 1000 population per square mile to build Storm Water Treatment Plants. Instead the six minimum controls, to educate, regulate and enforce laws to protect our drinking water and recreational waters. Yes Poland you are to be commended as well as the communities of Campbell, Lowellville and Struthers in implementing this Utility and finally solving flooding and polution in our most precious resource water!!!

Sherman proposal marked by questions, promises

Casey equipment cleans transformers on this property next to the river with no public sewer for 20 years, the Vindy should investigate where the few people that work there and the other employers of the slave labor that work there have no public restrooms for twenty years. The Vondicator only wrote the story because its in Campbell, if it was in North Jackson or Deerfield where polluters run rampant the Vindy doesn't care. It kills the Vindicator to write a positive story North of the polluted Mahoning River! 33 years since mills closed, two Brides and a road to nowhere and no jobs, no public sewer, and the Vindicator rips the only prospect on the River for 20 years. I'll give you one, Astro Shapes got 40 acres of clean property from Struthers a new Road for minimal investment almost four years ago WITH NO BUSINESS PLAN!!! Vindy won't investigate that or itself when they received cleaned up property for free on the backs of taxpayers. Cancel your subscription !!!

Campbell officials look to move past ‘chaos’

Could it be the Police Chief's wife is the Mayor's secretary and then he wants to appoint O'dea whose daughter works in the finance Department. City Hall is a joke uner this loser Mayor, he's not a puppet he's just FAMILY, he is just hiring FAMILY so then what is anyone going to say! Where is the nepotism laws either the Chief should resign or his wife! As far as O'Dea is his daughter and him going to responsible to watch each otherwith the City's finance! This Administration is a joke, RECALLL! RECALL
