I think the city council has this all wrong with all the crime problems in Campbell. Instead of finding ways to help the police Department it seems like they are trying to cut the police department. Why would you not worry about replacing the recent vacant officers spot in an understaffed police department with so much crime? As a tax payer and resident of the city of Campbell my number one issue is public safety. It seems like council does not have public safety as a priority or issue. There was a charter issue on the ballot several years ago that I believe stated the city had to maintain 16 full time police officers. The charter issue for police and public safety was passed by the voters of Campbell. As a tax payer I would like to know where are the 16 full time officers at? City Council needs to be replaced immediately from the looks of things due to the lack of concern for public safety.
Several officers were rewarded by a arbitrator a dollar because the dollar was taken away from them several years ago by the city. So this dollar was rewarded back to them and brought those officers even to what all the officers in the department are making. It is sad because i know those officers do not make very much in the first place to put their lives on the line in that crime infested city.
I think the Campbell Police do a good job for all the crime and the fact that they are under staffed. I know some of the police in Campbell and lots of times they are forced to work double shifts and lots of overtime due to the staffing problems. So if the Officers want to get some Ice Cream at Dairy Queen in Campbell and talk to people and kids that is actually great community relations. Keep up the good work Campbell Police and keep on all these complainers on here because they are the ones out committing crime.
I think a lot of people are missing the point here. Yes it is obvious the victims died because of a car crash but who were the victims. The coroner needs to be available so they could identify the body and law enforcement could get started on the investigation. Law enforcement cant Id a person if the coroner takes the body and refuses to open the office so they can conduct the investigation.
What a poor decision by the Mahoning County Coroner. The coroners office should had helped the investigation with the Campbell Police. Juveniles dont always carry identification on them plus with the speed the police said they were going and the impact into the house probably made it hard to identify the victims with the severe injuries. The coroner should had opened his office to the police department and these families so they could had 100% Id'd the victims on Saturday. No family should have to wait until Monday to know the faith of a loved one. The coroner should be held accountable by the county.
First off you dont have to be charged or commit a crime to be suspended in the NFL. Its just like any other job you can be suspended or fired under the policies set by your employer. The League has a code of conduct for all their players that they must abide by and if you dont they have the right to enforce punishment.
