Ex-congressman doesn’t plan to run next year

@JoeFromHubbard:

It's not about Boccieri, it's about Betras and his king size ego that wants to control everything and everyone.

Ex-congressman doesn’t plan to run next year

Betras is running Boccieri against Carol the dolt for commissioner. Carol doesn't follow orders so she's gone and Betras can't stand her anyway. Look for Boccieri to get the Mahoning County Democratic Party endorsement.

Former Youngstown employee blasted administration for treatment

Brenda was a dedicated employee and watched out for the citizens of Youngstown even when it wasn't in the best interest of her career.

While so many of the people that are supposed to protect us and our safety are ready to be bought, Brenda stood up and always did the right thing.

When people ask why doesn't Youngstown ever get better, the answer is people like Brenda are pushed out for an agenda that benefits a select few.

Congratulations Youngstown, you have succeeded at losing again!

Austintown racino on hold

Monroe is a jackass puppet of many people and another political figure that ought to be taken away in handcuffs by the FBI.

But what about Gerberry? He campaigned last year on how HE brought the racino to Austintown! Where's his leadership now??? It's long over due that Gerberry needs to go, the biggest fake in Mahoning County politics.

Rep. Ryan makes right move regarding his political future

Congratulations to the cheer leaders at the Vindicator! We told Timmy not to run and he was smart enough to listen to us!! We are great, we know all, we are the Vindicator!!!

If the Vindicator editorial board would get their collective heads out of their a__es and talk to people that deal with Timmys office they might come to a different conclusion.

The Tim Ryan people deal with today is not the Tim Ryan of just a few years ago. Then he cared about his job and this community, but not today. Today his "animal house" office is more interested in drinking and partying - like its 1999.

Timmy and his staff don't show up at meetings where hundreds of new jobs are being planned, jobs that would inject hundreds of millions of new dollars into our community. But Timmy is too busy.

This is just one of many examples of Timmy dropping the ball, but why should he care? The Vindicator says Timmy is great!

The Vindicator is always right, isn't it?

P.S. There is an opportunity here for a democrat with money to take this seat away from Timmy. Lets see who has the balls to do it.

Feds won’t get a pass on probe

Look for these indictments to take down business people, elected officials, judges, attorneys and directors/staff people from many county agencies.

The county government won't be recognizable after it's all done. Happily we won't have to see some of the attorneys that constantly advertise on TV anymore.

It's about time!

Tricky political proposition

The real questions voters have to ask McNally is, is he still under investigation by the feds and are the indictments over?

To Terrapinst, the evidence indicates McNally does have a relationship with the Cafaros, and we all know campaign finance reports never tell the whole story.

Eyes on pre-primary prize

Hey Terrapinst! The reason no one runs against Krichbaum is that they know they will have no support from the Democratic Party.

When the Mahoning County Democratic Party Chairman, Attorney David Betras writes checks to Krichbaum's campaign what chance does a challenger have?

If judicial races are non-partisan why do judicial candidates get endorsed by both parties? There should not have been any issues with all of the democrats who supported Mary if we follow your logic.

This is a Betras issue, he always wants it both ways, he's for Krichbaum and he's against Mary. When are the precinct committee members going to wake up and realize Betras is the problem and not the solution?

Eyes on pre-primary prize

Do these bylaws include the Chairman being removed for violating the new policies?

For example, someone should ask Chairman Betras why there hasn't been a challenger to Judge Krichbaum?

If the regular democrats support a republican they get kicked out, but if Betras supports one it's not a problem?

Sounds like a double standard to me.
