@Youngstown BornRaised, The Austintown little falcons were in the league last year and their homefield was austintown fitch. They were the host of the Superbowl. They are no longer in the league. I have been attending NEOYFL games for 15 years and Have yet to see one fight at these games. Normally teams host games on their home fields. Every. They all have a clean up committee. U should come to the superbowl next Sunday and watch a class act football league.
I have to say that this league was giving the opportunity to play their championship game at Westminster College last year and we were very pleased at how they cleaned up after the game. There was no isuues and the kids got a chance to play on a college campus. Youngstown city schools athletics is a joke. There is no pride and its not about the kids any longer. U have coaches padding their retirement and are just their to collect a check. Ed Matey has never been a personal person. Im sure he didnt come up with the price though. Its a shame that alot of these kids are from the city but cant use the city facilities. Thats why all the good athletes from the city go else where. There is no pride or dedication in the Youngstown City School system.
I must say that I know the family and Lil Los was no saint. He was in and out of JJC and his parents seemed very stressed at times. But saying that doesnt mean he deserved to Die... Just keeping it real... He was a follower and tried to fit in to the point that he did stupid things... But like I said he didnt deserve to be killed...
I honestly thought this article was a joke. Who got this Panel together? You have to be kidding me. I would like to see another discussion with these same guys and include Rollen Smith, Kevin Jackson, Booker Newberry, Adrian Brown, And Janet Tarpley. They all have degrees and work at JJC and are well known throughout the community.
Jamail was an outstanding man. I had the pleasure of knowing him for more than 10 years and he was always a respectful and hard working young man. If you didn't know him, u should not have much to say about his character. God judged him and that is why he is in Heaven. Rest In Peace
"if you don't work, you dont get paid' So how are all the people on welfare making it? What about the people in prison? Who is paying for their stay at prison? County employees pay taxes as well. Just something else for the peolpe of Youngstown to complain about.
