Dann Thinks Apology Sufficient?

He must be a graduate of the Bill Clinton School of Bad Behavior. How dare you not think an apology is enough? At least Elliot Spitzer had the decency and/or intelligence to resign.

Liberty Township is late in acknowledging that death of woman merits inquiry

Thank you for a thoughtful, intelligent and unbiased editorial on this tragic death. Too many excuses for the police responses have been made since the death of this elderly resident was reported. Lack of common sense in finding the injured person is high on the list of what went wrong. Food for thought: Does the Libery Police Department have a police dog? Chances are a police dog would have found Mrs. Rush in a matter of minutes.

Liberty death sparks talk of elderly watch

While a program to check on Seniors is a nice idea, it is not the answer to the problem of the responding police NOT getting out of their cruiser to search for the victim. The age of the victim should not be the issue and is irrelevant to what happened in this case. The police FAILED to get out of their cruiser and SEARCH for the injured person. Please put the blame where it belongs and fix it.

Liberty police response stirs concern

The tragic death of this lady demands change in the way the Liberty police respond to 911 calls of this nature. It is inconceivable that police TWICE failed to get out of their cruisers and search for the injured person. Defending this policy is a further failure to the residents of Liberty Township. If the police had been as diligent as the neighbor who called twice, this tragedy may have been avoided. The police response failed the neighbor who called twice, failed to find the injured person and adds insult to injury by failing to admit that the responses were inadequate. Residents deserve better and should settle for no less than a full investigation of this matter.
