More than 70 cats taken from Cat Ladies Society

If I followed every murder in youngstown, I would not have time for anything else. There is a murder a day there and they cover every one of them. Certainly, with as much attention as this has gotten, they could get some information on it. You say they are just cats, but like everything else, I don't like that agencies "animal charities" can come in, do whatever they want, and expect people to just deal with it. I don't even own a cat, I just think everyone (cat ladies society) deserves some answers. I don't agree that people should get cats and then just put them out when they are tired of them, but thats what people do. I respect the people that believe in something and try to do something good.

I can't even find the story on the candlelight vigil or the fact that animal charities has euthanized all those cats. Certainly the vindicator should follow this story. There surely has to be more to it, since it has been a week and no charges or anything, and not a word out of "animal charities". It's a pretty scary thought that they can take all those cats, euthanize them and just walk away and not have to answer for it! I think they need investigated because what they have done is not humane. I feel for the animals they have at their establishment. I think they should be shut down.

This animal welfare case appears to have staying power

I completely agree. I have been watching the news and the internet and have seen no new stories or progress being made on this issue. CLS is having a candlelight vigil on Wednesday, posted on their website. Make sure you go out and show your support!!

How about a follow-up to whats going on with this? I have been watching the news and the internet and haven't seen anything that tells us what is going on at this point.

Cat-shelter volunteer defends facility’s efforts

I listened to the radio program today with animal charities and for the sake of animal charities, I am hoping there is more to the story than what I heard on there. Litter boxes they thought were too full?? Sick cats in the sick room allowed out of their cages to walk around?? No written medical protocol?? Those seem like pretty petty issues that could have been resolved with some communication. I hope this just wasn't a case of overreacting on the part of animal charities. I am hoping they are able to get their cats back and open their new facility. The pictures of it looked great!

I couldn't believe what I was seeing on the news this morning. Putting what looked to be 20 or so cats, stuffed in carriers in the bed of an open truck!! They should maybe check out their own supposed "humane officers". The cats shown on the news appeared to be in very good health. ANY place housing that many cats is bound to have odors and medical problems. I feel bad for the people that have tried to help so many unwanted cats and this is what happened.
