Mr. Betras is all about publicity and ego and he will eventually destroy the economic climate for the Valley so that no business person in their right mind would want to locate here. And those that are here will look for a way out. It's that bad.

Of course, he has nothing else to do.

I guess I won't be going to the Mocha House anymore. This works both ways. Union bullying at its worst.

I can't think of a more distasteful person in the Valley than Dave Betras. It's one thing to disagree with the Chamber's action, it's another to make it a personal thing with Tom Humphries. Mr. Humphries has been one of our area's outstanding leaders for many years. He's head and shoulders in class and talent above people like Betras.

Dave is out of control; losing it might be a better word. Certainly a major disappointment for trying to crucify Tom Humphries, someone who tried to work closely with Betras to improve econ development for the area.

Bertram likes to be negative somethings for the sake of being negative. One cardinal rule for journalists and columnists is to do your homework. Research the topic and make sure you are on solid ground when arguing your premise. In this case, Bertram didn't do his due diligence.

These owners are newspaper people and do newspaper journalism on the cheap: Warren Trib, Salem News. They are now doing baseball on the cheap and making millions. The only hope is that they will sell someday and bring some respectability back to the Pittsburgh franchise again.

Why is the Vindicator using YSU students to do indepth and investigative reporting? This story was just full of holes and poorly reported. The reporter should have know that nearly all job creation projects locally receive state and local financing and/or tax incentives so the numbers of jobs actually created are PUBLIC RECORD! ODOD tracks all companies that receive assistance as do local cities and counties So this is what local journalism has been relegated to?

Traficant's failure to get on the ballot is symbolic of what a big failure he was to the people who elected him and to the Valley. He's old news; we're moving ahead with positive news for the future: V&M Star, the Cruze, VXI, Exal expansion, YBI and the future Warren incubator. And we're getting national and international attention from Inc and Entrepreneur magazines and the BBC America about the transformation of the Youngstown area.

It's about time we stop coddling county workers. Yea, the building shook. You go outside, get the all clear sign and go back to work. What's so wrong with that. It's really ridiculous. Well done, Todd.
