4 men charged with conspiracy, wire fraud

All four of these "low-lifes" have been in trouble with the law for years, the police and insurance investigators did a good job uncovering this plot! Send them to prison so they can associate with their own "kind" and finally answer to consequences long overdue!

4 arrest warrants issued for Youngstown man

The prosecutor's office should be fired for repeated "screw ups" with violent criminals, they repeatedly let loose or release violent people and they seldon win a verdict in court because of inept leadership....Gains is a clown and is incompetent!

Don’t bash teachers

Another attack on the middle class (public employees) don't these genius' realize the attack on the middle class is an attack on consumers! If they continue to cut the wages of auto workers, public employees, factory workers etc. they cut taxes coming in to governments, they reduce consumer spending and this affects profits. Dumb asses want us to be a third world economy!

Sammarone to pick new chief of staff

Youngstown will start on a slow decline with this bunch of political hacks, most of these people have been on the public trough their entire life, none of then know any other way of life. None of these people will improve the city, they will collect a nice paycheck and maintain the status quo, the vindicator will have a field day with their incompetence.

Out with the Canfield cardinal, in with the black squirrel?

Mr. Madison has brought attention to himself, his dumb idea and the school district. As if this school district really needs attention.......I say transfer the Canfield teachers to Youngstown City Schools and prove to us you're excellent teachers since you say you are an Excellent district with excellent teachers. I don't begrudge anyone a livable salary, I'm sure he earns his salary, but come on' this campaign is stupid!

Retiring superintendent blasts BOE

If you poll all the school districts in the tri county area and see how many administrators and superintendents are double dipping (collecting a generous pension and still collecting additional public money while working) then you will understand the word OUTRAGEOUS, these greedy people are depriving young educators from moving on with their careers while collecting six figure compensation. It's time to stop this practice. The superintendent from Niles finally showed some courage and exposed the board's ineptness, Superintendents have tough jobs, but this contract is un called for.......

16-year-old shot to death in Youngstown

It all comes back to one thing....FAMILY
not schools, teachers, social programs, the politicians the government, etc. just plain family. Too many children having children, no fathers around to raise them, no religion or discipline in the house, no work ethic, no summer jobs or any jobs, just drugs, alcohol, tattoos, cell phones and rap music. No swimming pools or baseball leagues, parks or any places for kids to go or have fun.

Malmisur defends Tressel

Tressel brought YSU back to life, and he did his best at OSU to restore the program to a winning tradition. College football is big business and the pressure to win is enormous, Tressel recruited kids who failed to adhere to his program, failed to respect the traditions of OSU, but Tressel thought he could "save" and change them and in the end they did him in! I believe if the NCAA and the ESPN's of the world looked closely; the infractions at OSU are the same at all "big-time" college football programs. Tressel was held to a higher standard and has fallen farther than most.

Mahoning County Treasurer quits after charge

Another Democratic officeholder bites the dust, who could imagine, the party of the people, screwing the taxpayers again! Keep voting D and you get what you deserve. If Osama Bin Laden was alive and ran for office in Mahoning county with a D after his name, he'd be elected.
