Like humans, monkeys tend to spontaneously view ingroup members positively and outgroup members negatively. The Yale team's results suggest that the distinctions humans make between "us" and "them" -- and therefore the roots of human prejudice -- may date back at least 25 million years, when humans and rhesus macaques shared a common ancestor.
I agree with Les. While many are striving for the bare necessities, auto-insurance should be included in that group of necessities. If you need a car to get to work but you can't afford insurance, you are in the wrong line of work. Move or change. I did both and I'm no rocket scientist. The rest of us aren't here to cover expenses for you or your kids (yes they're learning to do without insurance too).
Unfortunately, when money gets tight, we find that not everyone deserves a job or a mortgage. This is what those "old-timers" were trying to tell me when I was young. These realities are not always fair and they are hard to accept.
Binx is super smart and happens to agree with me. Uninsured motorists cause our premiums to go up. We should make it as difficult as possible for them to break this law.
CassAnn- they would not get new stickers when they cannot re-register. Sure they can steal yours but that's another crime that would need preventing.
I was shocked like Binx when I moved over here in 2000 from PA. An honor system? In this day and age?
This problem is correctable by restricting auto registration to only those that have active insurance policies. Many states do this. Why do Ohioans bemoan and tolerate this? It's really kind of silly. Next we'll be blaming auto accidents on unemployment(although there probably is some causality).
I am disgusted by this. Because of his position, I am sure he understood that what he was doing was unethical if not fraudulent.
I hope YSU checks to see whether his PHD is valid as well. I am curious if his appointment to head the accounting department was based on the belief that he was a CPA.
Those of us who maintain valid CPA credentials are diminished by careerists like Mr. Antenucci.

Just some ugly white monkeys in this case.
