Stan, if the jobs you are suggesting is in law enforcement, they tried that. They didn't succeed, the city didn't bring in enough money to keep a full police force out there to stop these criminals, even if they could, we would just see more cop killings because these low lifes think it's 'cool' to kill and don't care about spending their lives in prison.
Now, if you mean jobs for these animals to keep themselves busy, I don't see that working either. Putting in 40 hours a week is far to daunting for these people, it's too much work when they know all they have to do is spend a few minutes a day dealing drugs or stealing property to make more money than I'll even ever see in a week with my 40 hour job.
I usually agree with you, I respect your opinions, but on this I have to take the other side. =)

I'm sorry you lost a relative, truly, but by your words you give notice to his actions and that you were aware of his affiliations/crimes, yet you did nothing.
The people whining about these officials needing to resign because they are 'unethical', who did you vote for? Did you vote for them? Did you vote for the person who assigned them the position they hold?
Personal lives are just that, PERSONAL! It's none of yours, mine or anyone else's business what goes on behind others' closed doors. If they want to give a statement as to why they are divorcing/separating then it's their choice to share the information, they shouldn't be made to tell us, regardless of the position they hold.
If you or your spouse had an affair, would you like the Vindicator reporters at your door with a podium to set up on your lawn with a microphone so you can tell the whole world how your whole life is messed up? I didn't think so.
