"I say he needs to be fired and spend some time in the pokey for this embarrassment."
You want to put him in jail for ncaa rules violations? The "pokey" is for violators of state and federal laws, not the rules of college athletics. Relax.
"stan, all cops dont have a bad reputation among criminals, most criminals know right from wrong and arent upset when some1 arrests them when they r wrong with respect "
That is laughable.
Officer: "Freeze sir, and might you please stop burglarizing that house? It's not very nice of you."
Criminal: "Ah sure, you got me. Here, unlock your police cruiser so that I may get into the back of it and be whisked away to jail."
I am no cop, but I don't think that's the scenario that would play out.
He didn't sell out the Beeghly Center because he was fighting a no-name in a tune-up bout in a down economy. A Pavlik vs. Williams fight would draw more Pavlik fans than Williams, hands down.
Two of the three named were mandatories, and Martinez is no slouch. As far as fighting someone good and losing: he lost one fight. Beat Taylor twice. Miranda is talked about at super-middle - KTFO'd him. Sturm wants too much money to fight him, same with Winky Wright. Abraham moved up a division. The champ who just fought Lyell is laughable. Billy could probably take him in a rematch. The Punisher stinks and would get his face crushed. He throws loopy punches and would be on the ground before one of them landed. Ytown hit the nail on the head: division is weak as sin. Kelly is doing the right thing by not listening to what everyone (such as people on local message boards) are saying and just knocking out whichever middleweight they put in front of him.
Frankly this is one of the stupidest articles I've ever read, and it's mentality like this that causes situations such as the one in Cambridge to happen in the first place.

Jake Delhomme among those visiting Browns
Among all of the bad decisions they've made (Lord knows there's a lot of them), this would be up there with the worst of them.
