This story disgusts me as a former educator. The kid is a marijuana user and disruptive student, wasting the schools time and money. It is no surprise that learning does not occur in schools with students and parents like this.
The school should have expelled this student. Mr. Fuline was just doing his job. I pity him because the students today are lazy and disrespectful. And, the parents are even worse.
The problem is many students (not all) are lazy and don't care about anything. The public school system continues to place emphasis on the lazy student who will do nothing with his or her life. The finest example of this is the Mahoning County Joint Vocational School and other trade schools. Instead of these schools, open up centers of excellence for math and science. This would be a much better use of tax paper money.
10 Mooney students charged in Canfield assault | AUDIO/VIDEO
“Basically these 14 kids were all good kids who got together and made a bad decision.”
What a joke. Mooney should be proud of their fine Catholic young men. It's the Mooney difference.
I suggest as a Canfield resident that Mooney students keep their trouble in Youngstown where it belongs.
