First of all, my prays go out to Corey's mom.... she had nothing to do with what her son did. I am also the wife of a police officer. I know how PJs wife feels night after night because I live it. Sleepless nights wondering if he is ok, wishing he was there for soccer games instead of being called out because someone decieded to break in somewhere or beat their wife. As I sit here at my computer while my three children sleep, my husband is out on the streets protecting all of you from the drunk drivers in the city. I hate seeing anyone shot, whether it be the crook or the officer, but what we all have to rememeber is that PJ had to think fast and do what he thought was right, not only protect himself but also the other people out on the road at the time. The next thing I want to say is HOW DARE all of you who comment on who his dad is. WHO CARES!!!! He is on YPD because he was smart enough to pass the city exam, strong enough to pass the physical test, and oh yea the voice stress test that is required of every officer. I am so sick of how people want to come down on the police just because they dont "like" them. Guess what, 99,9 % of the police officers I know in the mahoning valley are good, Honest, hard working men who love their jobs. Stop breaking the law and noone would have to worry about the "big bad cops" out there.
REALLY????? I thought this was a free country and you could support who ever you wanted!!!!!!! This man is out on the streets everyday keeping you safe. I could care less who he supports as long as he is protecting my house and family.
The biggest thing about this that made me mad was that our Deputy's got only 3% of this! WHAT!!!! There is no way that the dispatchers should get paid more than our deputy's. They put their lives on the line everyday to get paid 11 something an hour and dispatchers sit in a building and answer phones for that azmount of money!!! Something is not right there. Yes they just hired alot of new people but those people wont stay either because they are not getting paid very well.
