UticaShale: you are right on point. These people who are leasing their farms are conservative by nature. They don't do casinos and will probably splurge on better farm equipment. They are not the type of people who look to the welfare state for a government handout. Those that are complaining about the oil & gas boom are just jealous that they don't have land to lease.
I'm glad that the auto industry bailed out the auto industry because it saved Lordstown, but make no mistake, the current government estimate is that the government (i.e. taxpayers) will lose $23.77 billion dollars on the bailout.
Bertram, this is a one party county. Why should Mark Munroe feel bad for not having a sacrificial lamb to run against Gains? The only reason that there are a few Republican judges is because they don't have a party designation on the ballot.
Injection wells do NOT involve fracking. Fracking is a part of the overall drilling process that is used to break up the rock in the hopes of producing a gas/oil well. An INJECTION well like the one in Youngstown is a well in which contaminated fluids are deposited (i.e. it is not a producing oil/gas well. Having said that, the evidence thus far does indicate that the INJECTION well (not fracking) probably did cause the earthquake.
Would someone from the democrat party please talk to this fool and get him to retire. He is an embarrassment. And if you intend on ever voting for this guy again you are a moron.

Actor’s mom awaits word on home
Since Tracy is a Democrat, I'm sure he believes that the government will ultimately take care of his mother. That's why Tracy pays taxes.

Hagan scores half-truth in earthquake comments
Using Hagan's logic you could also say:
"We never had an earthquake in Youngstown until Barack Obama was elected President."
Hagan's idiocy never fails to amaze.
