Do townships have to buy directly from ODOT? Seems like a captive market. Do I hear $700 hammer or a $5000 toilet? Open the contract for bidding to see just how bad we are getting ripped off.
So we can expect the same from him in the Atty General position? "Oops, if I'd have thought about it more I would have done something different" Sounds like Janet Reno all over again. Clinton presidency part deux.
The guy needs help for sure. I know the child is always the presumed innocent one but I can't help but wonder what role she played in this sick fetish.
Everyone seems to avoid the "hole in the face" issue. If he were to remove the jewelry there is a genuine health risk. I believe that is why the superintendant is opposed to that solution. Gone are the days of kids sharing waterbottles and hairbrushes. The world has become parinoid and lawsuit happy. The people of Hubbard accepted this dress code and now it is being enforced. If for some reason something were to happen that could link even in the most remote fashion to him and/or his piercings, I wonder how many of these same bloggers would stand in line to sue the school for allowing him to attend. Far fetched? Maybe....no probably....but all the same a liability that he has to be concerned with. Let them stay home and spend time with Grandma, least they can do since she's allowing them to live there.
Just as many other districts in the area suffering from lack of levy passages, the state will evenually step in and run the district cutting the fat that the BOE is reluctant to do. Do I want to see this happen? NO but if that's the only way the excess fat will be trimmed then so be it. I do not live in Atown but do live in a community with levy issues. I hate to say it but until they stop taking taxpayer money for granted they will have to live with the concequences. A superintendant that lives 200 miles away? please! does he really care about your district or is he just padding his resume for the future?
Does anyone here really think the Dems will not bail them out? UAW is such a huge contributor to them they don't dare risk restructuring that may include forced renegotiations (or elimination?) of union contracts. The Dems will vote a huge bailout-loaded with even more pork-and, as my grandpa (a GM retiree) used to say: "give a bandaide to a cancer patient". 15 second soundbite: "I saved the auto industry" (for today)
What she really wants is a puppet with whom she can manipulate just as she's done in the past. Rest assured dady will have a HUGE say in who gets that position.
I can go one step further YSUgrad99. She has done more since she has been in office than our PRESIDENT ELECT. Dad's money and the corrupt political machine....Cafaro for president in 2016? OMG I would move to Canada for sure
I wonder who voted FOR Obama and who voted AGAINST the Bush administation. Obama won by promising a conservative agenda (lower/no taxes etc). This from one of the most Liberal candidates in history. Hold on to your wallet with both hands!
I say let him out. What has Tim Ryan done for the valley? NoBS is correct about his floor speeches, does the name Dennis Kucinich ring a bell? NE Ohio is already know for wack-job politicians. Jim has done his time-let him spend the rest of his days at home.
