Although I see the original purpose behind groups like Black Nurses, Black Doctors, Black Cops, Black Firemen, Black Plumbers, Black Bikers, etc., it is easy to see why they are seen as divisive and exclusionary groups. Because they are. If I, as a white, male nurse wanted to join this group, it would not be allowed. Even if I supported them 100%. I would not be allowed membership due to the color of my skin. Regardless of the content of my character. It is time to put racism where it belongs. In the history books. We cannot move forward as long as we have groups that exclude based on color.
If they had anyone else caught with this kind of evidence they would be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, but because he's a cop he walks away scot free? This is the kind of stuff that makes the public not trust the police. Makes all of the hard working, honest public servants look bad. Shame on Foley, Shame on Sammarone. They preach accountability, now it is time for them to be held accountable for THEIR actions. Someone needs to ask some hard questions and demand answers. What an absolute disgrace to the badge.
Why shouldn't Joe Lane be smiling? He's had Canfield in his pocket for years. We pay for training, equipment, manpower, etc. But are not getting the service we deserve. Canfield has excellent Paramedics ready at a moment's notice to come to our house and wait for an ambulance with us. The siren we hear ten minutes after the fire department arrives is Lanes coming from Austintown.
Boardman has been screwing around with this EMS issue for years. Run correctly, EMS would be great for the Department and community, but nobody ever wants to compromise. That's both the Trustees and the Union at different times. Private EMS is fine, too, but they doctor their response times by using the time that a "Supervisor" vehicle arrives, which is not an ambulance, and not always a Paramedic.
I hope they keep a close eye on her. She is absolutely horrible to work for, near, or with. An absolute egomaniac who attempts to hide her insecurities by abusing her employees. She actually had a policy at Millcreek where employees were not permitted to talk to each other, among other madness. I do believe that her heart and ministry are in the right place, but God only knows where her head is. On the other hand, maybe Ursuline is extending the hand of it's ministry to take this person in and help her understand the error of her ways. ( I prefer to think that is the case.) Sr. Jerome-You owe many people apologies for the way you treated them over the years, I pray you get that done before it is too late. Good Luck and God bless in your latest adventure.

I always wondered why they couldn't spell "Covelli" right on the sign. The other day it was spelled wrong twice..."Cavelli" and "Coveli".
