Congratulations to the GM workers on their profit sharing.More money to be spent in the valley is good news.I m sure there are people out there jealous of the workers windfall and will complain.

As a gun owner I see nothing wrong with background checks as a means of keeping guns out of the hands of anyone with a mental illness or criminal history.People should welcome such efforts to keep them safe. The only people against such checks are those with something to hide.No one is taking your guns away or preventing you from buying one as long as you are found to be a responsible individual and i feel safer knowing that person has been cleared.

The Governor thinks that cutting income taxes solves all problems but it just forces local governments to seek revenues by asking for new levies which puts an unfair burden on home owners many who are retired and on fixed incomes.Kasich has already did away with the homestead property tax partial exemption for home owners 65 and older by imposing an income limit which reduced seniors disposable incomes.Income tax is a fair way to raise revenues since all earners share in the burden.Shifting the burden to property owners is not a fair way to fund governments

Its worrisome that that many people support his twisted views of people different from themselves.Hitler also played on the fears of the German people and look what they reaped.Thousands of Americans are killed and terrorized by Americans with guns every year and not a word is said except 2nd amendment rights but a Muslim does it and people are griped with fear and want to ban Muslims and close their mosque.I am more likely to be shot in Youngstown or Warren by a fellow American that a Muslim terrorist.

peacelover your absolutely correct. The Governor has not only cut funding to the cities but also to the schools while giving tax cuts to businesses. He also did away with the over 65 property tax cut for seniors making a certain amount of income.People fail to understand that a state income tax cut means less money goes to municipalities and schools which are forced to put levies on the ballot which end up hurting property owners the most instead of all wage earners and businesses of whom many get tax abatements sharing the burden. Also bad oversight by the City of Niles is also responsible for its self inflicted financial problems.

One would think that voter would wise up to realize that school levies seldom go to help the kids despite promises.

The amount of money allocated to upgrade an indoor firing range at the Vienna air reserve station is a prime example of waste of taxpayer money.9.4 million is an absurd amount for any indoor firing range and a pork barrel project. The defense department needs someone to be responsible enough to say no to such projects.the 9.4 million could be better spent repairing the areas crumbling infrastructure.Ryan just lost my vote.
