Everyone can sit back and pass judgment on this matter. This would not even make headlines other than he is the son of a public official.The readers who comment on their parenting skills should look into the mirror and not throw stones. Please give their family privacy to deal with this matter.

I don’t see this Gomez guy as a “victim”. The cop tried to support the charge by saying Gomez was afraid. If so, why didn’t Gomez turn around and go in the other direction. Gomez’ own statement is that he passed Dellick, cut him off, and then chased him. He is in his 50s.
I also didn’t read Judge Dellick’s comment to say her son had no responsibility, just that it is the wrong charge. It appears the other driver probably braked in retaliation and caused this accident.

Nice admission, Mr. Franko. A mother makes a comment in support of her son (probably after being badgered by the press to do so) and the Vindicator acknowledges that it crucified her and her family for exercising her freedom of speech. You probably have worked too long for the Vindicator to remember that the FIRST AMENDMENT involves more than just the freedom of the press.
