"Whether you believe it or not does not make it less true. "
What arrogance! This is the problem non-believers have with the zealots. Because you believe, it is an absolute truth. You can't possibly be wrong. The non-believers have a right to their beliefs. Re-read that sentence as though a non-believer would have posted the following (though most I know are considerably more respectful of others' views and likely would never write or say such a thing):
There is no God, so the birth of Jesus, whenever it occurred, if it occurred at all, was no big deal. Whether you believe it or not does not make it less true.
Mr. Mollica writes that "Heacock was successful". He had a career winning percentage of 58%. Every class I've ever taken would have failed me with such a record "success". He was a failure on game day (and on the recruiting trail), and that's all that matters to the vast majority of fans.
Opening night attendance: 1,854. It's all down hill from here. We don't want to watch 20u amateur hockey. We told you what we wanted. We told you we didn't want the USHL. Give me the "I" any day (and I know the "I" could easily stand for inferior). ECHL is perfect. The city and Ryan panicked. Note that other teams/leagues are still calling to inquire, even in this economy. Even in this market. Such is life as a minor league town. Teams will come and go. Hopefully this one goes soon to make room for something better.
Houndsfan, I declare shenanigans. The Phantoms (as will be the case with the USHL team) are boys trying to play a man's game. The level of play is...not...close...to professional. Did you see the South Park episode where Detroit played Stan's mite hockey team? Steelhounds vs. Phantoms (and any Jr. team for that matter) would result similarly, with the men on the winning end, obviously.
How many were really there if the official box score from Friday, April 24, 2009 (arguably the biggest game of the year) reads "ATTENDANCE: 650"? What does it take to understand that we don't want to see junior hockey in a AA arena?
This would be Mr. Zoldan's third attempt at junior hockey in the valley after two previously failed attempts. The Phantom Rockets of the CEHL lasted only a couple years before leaving (failure number 1). He himself has stated that, with or without a USHL franchise, the Phantoms are gone this year after only six seasons (failure number 2). Why does he get a pass?
Former Phantom Saad expected to play tonight for Blackhawks
Good luck Brandon. From the IZ to the UC (hopefully for good). Chelsea Dagger!!

The reason for the season
See what I mean. How do you know what I believe? Read my post again. Can we please at least respect others?

Will area residents embrace new Phantoms? We hope so

Do you care if hockey returns to the Chevrolet Centre?
