Since 2008, I've gone to quite a few graduations at YSU, and I'm always amazed that the MAJORITY of graduates are in the Business Administration! Since the 1980s many schools eliminated their "Trade Shop" courses. As a retired truck mechanic, I can see many of my generation retiring, and not enough trained younger people stepping up to fill these spots.

The few times that I've listened to Rush, I am left wondering, how anyone can take someone spewing what he does as serious and not a comedy show ?! The way he's hemorrhaging advertisers, reminding me of Howard Stern and his "apology" for blurting our certain phrases that caused an uproar. 1st amendment rights rights apply to morons as well anyone I guess!

I wondered how long it would be before the Dollar store at McGuffey got "welcomed" to the area!

It seems like they (ODNR) keep pointing to the fact that there are many other injection wells in OHIO, with no past earthquake history. I would think that the underground strata would be much different in Youngstown than it would be in the other 3 quadrants of the state.

I worked with Bennie Lupo back in the late 70s in the gas patch, when gas wells were going in all over the area...........................Never could trust him to be honest then.........Doesn't sound like he's changed much through the years to trust him now.

The Vindy had an article (about a week or so ago?) from a company that complained about finding no engineers in the valley for positions to be filled! My two sons (Masters in Industrial Engineering / Bachelors in Electrical Engineering)would like to live HERE in Youngstown, and applied AFTER they saw the article, BUT have gotten no indication if they even might be considered! "Talent shortages" are ONLY when the jobs for them are to be had, and this area STILL hasn't lured any new Industry to the area.
