Murderer Getsy sleeps on way to death house

It never ceases to amaze me at people who are so hate-filled.

Facts argued against clemency

Dear Column Writer - I would like to where you get the audacity to make the above statements as if you know Jason Getsy? I personally know Jason and have known him for quite some time and his change as well as his remorse is genuine. God willingly accepts this according to His Word (Romans 10: 9-13)...do not sit in judgment on another man's standing with God.

Leave your unfounded, narrow-minded opinions out of your stories next time.

Jason Getsy faces Tuesday execution; Gov. Strickland denies clemency

I would never undermine the death of Ms. Serafino nor the pain and suffering the family has had to endure...that being said, I know Jason personally and I know he has sincerely repented, called upon the name of the Lord a long time ago and his heart is right with God. God is no respector of persons and is NOT a God of hate or revenge. Most will be pleased as punch that Jason Getsy was not granted clemency...but do not make the mistake of believing God refused him mercy.....

God annointed David to be King of Israel but David's success was focused too heavily on material gains, and it corrupted him. His committing of adultery with Bathsheba, and the murder of her husband Uriah in an attempt to cover it up was perhaps the darkest event of his life. David truly repented of it, and God did forgive him...he committed murder and adultery and truly repented and was welcomed into heaven when he died...the Bible states this to be true...again, God is not a God of hate and those who sincerely repent and call upon His name REGARDLESS of what lies in their past...will definitely go to heaven.

Men who hate, hate that fact but it does not change the fact that it is the truth.

Jason Getsy faces Tuesday execution; Gov. Strickland denies clemency

We voted him in, we can vote him right back out...but then again, you get nothing from elected officials in this state so it doesn't matter who holds office. This is the good ole' boy state and its all about politics....unless, of course, you happen to have a million or two on hand to back pocket one or more of them.

Jason Getsy faces Tuesday execution; Gov. Strickland denies clemency

As for Watkins...you would not be so jubilant and adamant that Strickland had done the right thing if he had granted clemency...then you would be screaming as usual he did not do his job! Strickland didn't make the decision based on facts...that's absurd...he made it based on public pressure!! Get real...its all about politics not facts nor anything else when it comes to the Gov or any other elected official in this God forsaken state...that much he has proved since taking office. Jason's heart is right with God and for those of you jubilant and excited over him being put to death...you've won nothing.

Death-row inmate on victims’ family: ‘I love them’

Very few look up until they are all the way down; do not judge someone who claims to have found Christ whether in jail or not...there are those who have used that but there are those who were not able to accept Christ until they had completely hit rock bottom..and some of those have been in jails, prisons, rehabs, half-way homes, etc.

That being said, one who serves God, has accepted his ultimate gift of salvation, who reads and understands His Word and seeks Him diligently can then claim to be a true Christian or devout Christian...just saying it does not make it so.

I would never minimalize the loss of life in this case nor the pain and suffering this family has endured, but neither do I have the right to judge Jason Getsy's heart...only God has that right and God alone...but I do believe that if I was writing all of these hate-filled posts, I would examine my own spirit and my own standing with God. God is not HATE and never will be.
