canfield schools Zambrini: District now faces more cuts

@ mrbluesman

Stop with the property value. They just decreased mine by 30k. It wasn't because the levy didn't pass either. It's the way things are going. Not a good enough reason to pass a levy anymore. As for high school parking, the kids ARE paying to park at the high school and have been. Also, if you get rid of the out lining areas, you also lose those tax dollars. Looks like you need to do a little more investigating before making negative comments about tax payers.

Canfield school levy bid draws varying views

@mrsdoc....are the parent paraprofessionals those mommy's Zambrini brings in to sub in the class instead of real teachers? Haha, I bet they are. Oh, that's right, it saves the district money to have Johnny's bored mother, with no teaching degree, come in and babysit the class for sometimes an entire 9 week period. Meanwhile, all of the other teachers out there looking for work don't get a chance. Another excellent decision by our Super Duper Zambrini.

@ bottomline, I went back, just to be sure, the only teachers in Canfield making 40k or less are the retire/rehires. And, for the record, I make far less then 40k per year and still have to contribute 50% of my health care. Do your research, it is the decision of the company, ie..the school district to decide how much it asks it's employees to contribute. They pay the same about reguardless. I have no problem with a business asking for less of a contribution, but when the business..ie, school district is financially in jeopardy, concessions must be made.

I personally have not wanted to attack teachers, however, I am becoming increasingly sick and tired of "Canfield" teachers complaining. I have nothing but the utmost respect and gratification for any teacher teaching in the Youngstown City School District. The things they must see and hear on a daily basis I'm sure is nothing short of deplorable. I will not, however, allow any teacher in Canfield to compare themselves to them.

As for the band busing, I suggest if they bring back busing for them, then they better darn well bring it back for baseball, basketball, wrestling and every other sport. What makes them so special?

Also, for all of you who think the teachers jobs are on the line, you better check with all the teachers he upset last February, they were all asked to come back. None of them lost their jobs. It was a big "Smoke Screen", much like everything else Zambrini does.

@ intelligentone, Really? No, seriously, Really? How many times a week do you think non union people stay after work and don't get paid overtime? Oh, but we work 40 hours per week. Take your pitty party somewhere else.

Ok, three accountants are interviewing for the same job. The interviewer asks the first applicant "what's 2 plus 2" He answers, 4. The second applicant goes in and the interviewer asks "what's 2 plus 2"He answers 4. The third applicant goes in and the interviewer asks "whats 2 plus 2", He answers, "WHAT DO YOU WANT IT TO BE". The interviewer says to him, "YOU'RE HIRED".

Our business manager and treasurer are a perfect example of the third applicant. Anyone can inflate numbers to look the way they want them to. $800 per game for band bussing, really? If that's the case I would much prefer to take my own child.

ou812 is dead on, we want Zambrini and all of his butt kissing patsy's out of our school district. Unil that happens, I will happily drive my kid to school and pay whatever I have to out of pocket. The parents and the community want what we want. Until we get it, they aren't getting a penny!

Oh, and I pay 50% toward my health care!

lmao...you guys have made my 4th, thank you for the laughs!

As for you Mr. Madison,
I think the people of Canfield meant a change in the administration, not the mascot. Dumb A$%!!!
Oh, thanks for further ruining the reputation and my opinion of the town I grew up in.
