21st century? Welcome to the *20th century Ohio. I've had an EZ pass for 7 years, and I have friends (Ohioans) who have had one from NY since 1998 or 1999. Heck, even West Virginia and Indiana had EZ Pass before Ohio did.
And no, I don't feel sorry for the 30% of toll takers that will lose their jobs. They make $20 an hour for taking your change. Bizarre. This is the kind of jobs that should be lost.
Of course, if I have to pay a toll for this road, it should be perfectly maintained and I should be able to drive 90 mph.
