Mom decries sentence to ex who burned, abused her baby

Timothy White had the opportunity to clear himself by requesting a trial and telling his story in an attempt to prove his innocence. He did not. He plead guilty. One can only assume that if someone pleads guilty, and especially to a heinous act such as this, then he must be guilty. He plead guilty and plea bargained only to get a lesser sentence.

Man gets 4 years for burns, brain damage, abuse of toddler

He plead guilty. Why would you voluntarily go to prison if you were truly innocent?

Mom decries sentence to ex who burned, abused her baby

Sorry to dispute you Olivia, but the judge does and did choose the sentence.
From WFMJ website: "Judge Lou D'Apolito sentenced White to four years despite the recommendation of the prosecutor's office that he should serve at least five years after pleading guilty to the crime." Not always is the sentence agreed to in the plea bargain. Each side has a recommendation that they give to the judge before sentencing, and the judge does have the authority to impose whichever he chooses. The difference between 4 and 5 years is that if the defendant is given 5 years, he must serve the full 5 years before he can be eligible for parole. At 4 years, he can get out with good behavior at anytime before serving the full 4 years. This could be why the mother is upset with the judge. But, I would assume that no sentence is long enough in her mind as you might expect.

The mother of this child posted a comment on the first story that appeared here yesterday. She states that she was told White will be out this November. Are we to assume this is out with good behavior? For a crime such as this, one can be out in two years?? Our county's justice system is a joke. Both the prosecutors office and the judge in this case should be investigated. We need to vote these people out!! Sorry to say, but maybe the only type of justice here is the kind steelwagon has suggested.

UPDATE: Lost deer's throat slit

Either the vindicator did a lousy job of reporting with the first article, or this is a cover up.

We’re helping the enemy

Ah cambridge you missed my point which doesn't surprise me because you're only concerned with throwing out insults. Funny how people are quick to insult others in here when you don't even know what is being said.

My sarcastic point was that at age 9, my son's only concern is losing his play time. The boy in Arkansas is concerned about gays and lesbians when at age ten is he really old enough to even understand what the terms gays and lesbians mean let alone what he is protesting. This girl is 15. Is she old enough to understand what she is protesting. At what age do children have the legitimate right to protest and stand up for what they believe without suffering any consequences? It has been said that she did this to get kicked out of school. Hopefully that was not her reason for all this and she does truly believe in what she is protesting.
Leaveusalone, I did check out the teacher and she does yell alot, but the work is no different than what the other teachers give, but thank you for your comment as it is a good point.

We’re helping the enemy

My 9 yr old son does not believe he should have to go to school anymore. He doesn't like getting up early, the teacher yells too much, she gives out way too much homework and it takes away from his play time. I have tried to explain the importance of an education, but this is what he believes. So I guess I should just let him stay home because in his mind these are legitimate excuses, and after all, he does have rights and I should honor them. Right?

Child in critical condition after beatings, Austintown police say

"I said that IF White is convicted then the mother is the co-perp."

Even if White is convicted, that doesn't make her a co-perp unless charged and convicted.

Webad, by your own reasoning then, you should not state that the mother is the co-perp. It is an accusation that at this time has no evidence to support it.
