I'm not understanding how Ursuline and Mooney are cheating if the grand ole state of Ohio has set up the playoff system and the schools are just going by the rulebook. You are acting like the Ursuline and Mooney players are doping up in the locker room and bribing the refs. Take your anger out on the state, not the innocent kids that are just playing football for fun.
Or better yet, leave Ohio or just stop paying attention to high school sports!
Here we go again...something positive is happening for the Youngstown area and everyone from around here has to point out all the negative things about it. Why can't everyone be happy that this small city may possibly have two state championships. That's more than can be said for some of the larger cities in Ohio.
If I'm not mistaken, Jorbrail Grhim, 20, of Monroe Street, is the same person responsible for beating that baby senseless on the southside. Again, I could be wrong but if I'm not he better not walk away from that too.
There goes another couple hundred jobs out the window. Let's hope Jackson Township doesn't need any school levies passed anytime soon. They said no to the tax money and I sure as hell hope the voters say no to them!
"Drivers using hands-free devices would be required “to maintain both hands on the steering device.” Let's not stop here guys, lets make it illegal to eat, drink coffee, put down your sunshade and to turn around to yell at your kids. As far as I can see, just about all these activities and others will require that one of your hands is not on the steering device. No more scratching yourself in traffic either!
Outrageous, 2-8 years is a complete joke! He almost took a life and not just any life, that of a defenseless child. This should be a 20 year minimum although I'd prefer to see someone beat him with a coat hanger, punch him non-stop and attempt to drown him....then lock him up.
This country is not fighting the war on drugs the right way. As long as as their is a demand for drugs and they remain illegal, there will always be a supply. The only thing a drug bust does is raise drug prices.....it's simple supply and demand! A drug bust never cuts demand, only supply, and with being said there will always be an entrepreneur ready to move in on the opportunity to make a quick buck, its how our society works.
We are not quenching the thirst for drugs, just simply cutting back the supply, and since these drugs come from natural sources, they will always be around. However, if the government were to legalize all drugs and supply them there would be an excess and prices would drop. It's hard for people to make money off of items that are readily available at any major drug store. There wouldn't be much sense in robbing and killing people for a bottle of peroxide or pack of benadryl would there be?
As for cutting the demand, we as a society and country should put more effort in to drug education. This is the only way to cut demand. We have already shown that fear of being caught as a "user" doesn't deter anyone from purchasing drugs.
Funny how everyone shoots Williams down for his ideas on how to help the city, but let's say Traficant gets elected mayor either next year or in 5 more years.....if he proposes a JEDD I guarantee the entire area will embrace it and not one single township will mention the word "annexation."
26 packs of heroin..... $10,000 Legal fees..... $15,000 Taxpayer money spent on prosecution.....$20,000 Plea bargain that lets the man serve 1 year of a ten year minimum sentence.....priceless
When are we going to start holding the parents accountable? Learning doesn't just take place at school, it takes place at home too. In fact I think it is absolutely necessary for parents to teach their kids respect and responsibility before they are able to learn anything at school.
